The netcast of whitechocolatespaceegg was a success! Some words from Russ Waterhouse of Matador:
Just a quick "thank you" to everyone who supported the wcse "netcast". Apparently it's been more successful than any other "netcast" Capitol has ever done!
That's all for now. Good night and good listening,

LIZ A NO-SHOW AT SAN FRANCISCO LILITH FAIR SHOWS
Liz was not one of the performers at the San Francisco Lilith Fair shows, much to my chagrin. Why? I don't know, but I'd sure like to find the maintainers of the Lilith Fair website and ask who is (are) responsible for this misinformation. GRRRR...
Matador is not at fault here, as they did not list either San Franscisco Lilith Fair date on their tour dates webpage. In fact, they have apologized to me for the inconvience:
From Russ Waterhouse:

Ken,
Not quite sure what to say. I'm almost 100% positive that *I* never told any of the sites that she was playing SF, because as far as we knew it wasn't ever supposed to happen. People here seemed confused about the whole thing too.....
Basically it's the fault of the Lilith fair people and whoever runs their site (not to point fingers). That sucks and I'm sorry to hear that it happened to you. I never posted anything to the list either way because A)I wasn't paying too much attention anyway and didn't notice anybody saying that they were going to SF, and B) nobody here had a definite answer for me about it.
Russ

From Carrie McLaren:

Liz didn't show up because she wasn't scheduled to appear. I don't know sure why that date was listed. Have you written the Lilith people? We didn't have it on our list of dates, I've no clue why it was promoted in that way. I'm REALLY sorry this has happened but there's really nothing we can do.
best,
Carrie

By the way, if you are interested in who actually played at the San Francisco Lilith Fair shows, check out the Shoreline Ampitheater website.
[NOTE: Despite the fact that Liz's non-appearance ruined my day, I must say that everyone associated with the Lilith Fair was very nice. The Shoreline staff was very helpful; lots of free goodies were handed out: a Lilith Fair sampler CD (no Liz, just the lesser-known acts) courtesy of Tower Records, a poster of Sarah McLachlan (not Liz) courtesy of Levi's, ice cream bars (while we waited in line to get in) courtesy of Starbucks, facial products courtesy of Bioré (which I had no personal interest), and lots of other stuff I can't remember at the moment. And, of course, the concert attendees...]
